Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPv6) is
a network layer Internet Protocol standard used by electronic
devices to exchange data across a packet-switched internetwork.
IPv6 is the “next generation” designed by
IETF to replace IPv4. Currently IPv4 supports 4.3 billion
unique addresses over the internet while IPv6 can provide
up to 3.4 x 1038 unique addresses.
Omega Security International, LLC can help agencies transition
from IPv4 to IPv6 using the industry guidelines. The
transition will be seamless to the user providing abundant
unique addresses and enhanced security against cyber
attacks. |
