Omega Security
International, LLC. Among 17 Firms Selected to Link Customer
Needs and Best of Breed Vendor Capabilities Through GSA’s
Connections
Washington, DC— Friday, January 31, 2003. The General
Services Administration awarded 17 contracts under the
Federal Technology Service’s Connections program.
GSA’s Connections is an effort to replace expiring
regional equipment and services contracts with a robust
contractual vehicle providing all Federal agencies with
maximum flexibility, ease of use, and rapid turnaround.
Omega Security International, LLC (www.osi-sec.com), of Alexandria,
Virginia, is one of the 17 suppliers chosen from a highly
competitive applicant pool the nation’s leading
technology providers. As a small IT business prime contractor,
they provide telecommunications-related support services
to government agencies through this vehicle.
GSA’s Connections provides customers with a single
contract vehicle that can be used to order a broad range
of telecommunications equipment, support services, and
solutions.
Omega Security International, LLC, Booz Allen Hamilton,
EDS, SAIC, Verizon and twelve other providers were selected
because of their ability to support building and campus
communications infrastructure needs nationwide.
Pat Williams,
Omega Security International, LLC President and CEO,
knows from first hand experience what is required to support
the telecommunications needs of the agencies that keep
our government running every day. “We live in a
world of constant technological change,” says Williams.
“As technology continues to evolve, America’s
government employees and agencies must be provided with
the tools they need to tackle new challenges—and
create new opportunities. The GSA has provided a 21st
century approach ensuring Federal IT environments keep
pace in today’s dynamic, fast-paced working arena.
At Omega, we’re small, but we pride ourselves on
being able to see the bigger picture. We view our selection
by the GSA as recognition of our ability and commitment
to provide customers with the best in service and support
and we’re eager to begin.”
Omega’s support services offering under the contract
terms allows customers to do business directly with Omega
or enter into an agreement with GSA for value added service.
By providing users with multiple options, GSA emphasizes
the understanding that individual buyers’ needs
are different. Equipment, labor and turnkey solutions
have to meet a variety of telecommunications infrastructure
requirements. According to Williams, “Omega
Security International, LLC is a perfect fit for this approach because, just
like Connections, we’re organized and positioned
to respond to the customers’ buying patterns.”
